I fractured my ankle and was non weight bearing for 7 weeks I was using crutches for the 1st few days and finding it uncomfortable and difficult to get around but the scooter really turned it around. It was much easier to get around the house and go outside. It was very stable and good quality. I wouldn’t say it’s heavy but it’s not light either if it was light it wouldn’t be as stable. You will probably need some help to assemble if you are non weight bearing as you do need to get under it to adjust the knee rest. Really worth it if you aren’t good with crutches and still want to do things around the house. Is it easy to keep your leg on the pad?** A: I have several months of experience on both types of pads, and I will tell you the flat ones are better, but a fuzzy 2" foam pad on top of a flat one is optimal. The knee-divot model tends to have a topographical logo in the middle of the divot, which ends up making an impression on your leg. It's not fun, or comfortable. I had to deal with that for the better part of 6 months. I've had this knee rover model for about 3 years now, I put a 2" fuzzy foam pad on it 2 months ago, and that's the most comfortable a scooter has been. **Q: How easy is this to get into a small car?** A: It's easy.
