It doesn't feel as strongly constructed. The TPU material fits snugly around the iPad and has protected it when dropped and in my bag, etc. The hole for the lightening port is generally large enough though my HDMI adapter didn't fit. The hole for the audio jack is fine too. The magnets which hold it in shape need to be lined up more precisely though having used it more either I'm getting better as doing it automatically or it's becoming more flexible. I only use it folded one way as the other doesn't feel as secure.
