If you try and push the candle over to make it centered, the candle becomes unstable due to the circular rim on the base. Unfortunately, the shade is not movable and soldered in place. That was very disappointing and made the warmer not a good choice. On a positive note, the candle comes with dimmer control where you can adjust the brightness which controls the heat release that melts the candle. Also the candle comes with a timer. You can set it for 2, 4, or 8 hours. This is a nice safety feature to have. Although this candle is beautiful, it is not designed properly. The circular recess in the base for holding a candle is not centered under the lamp. The arm, along with the lamp, needed to be extended an inch or so. There’s no easy and aesthetic way to address this.
