It is so soft, a good weight, and pretty easy to spot clean. I had it on top of carpet and while it moved a bit, it wasn't bad. However, my large dog had a poopy accident in multiple spots. I personally think this rug is too large and heavy to put through a normal washing machine, so I had my husband pressure wash it. That worked great but once dry, the rug is more "poofed up" or something, but my vacuum cleaner struggles with it.
