Review: Overall a pretty good music player, with some limitations - I bought this portable music player for use when I do some exercise. What I like: * The form factor is perfect for exercise usage. * The menu is pretty intuitive to navigate. * The 64GB internal storage is plenty for most people, also supports microSD card. * Supports FLAC playback besides mp3 (more on that in the limitation section later). * The audio quality is good enough for exercise usage. Limitations: * If you add add/transfer too much music at one time, the Search seems to be stuck at 10% forever. * It has a limit of about 4000 songs for each storage. Any extra won't be included in the Music library. You can still navigate to the folder. * You can create your own playlist, it needs to use DOS line-ending, and backslash as directory separator. But flac files are not supported in your own playlist. Also I haven't found a way to use playlist on the external card. * There's a limit of 4000 songs total in all the playlists. If you exceeds that, some playlists would miss songs. Not ideal for someone with a big music library. For the price, it's a pretty good portable music player overall. Just be aware of the limitations, and workaround that. What I like: * The form factor is perfect for exercise usage. * The menu is pretty intuitive to navigate. * The 64GB internal storage is plenty for most people, also supports microSD card. * Supports FLAC playback besides mp3 (more on that in the limitation section later). * The audio quality is good enough for exercise usage. Limitations: * If you add add/transfer too much music at one time, the Search seems to be stuck at 10% forever. * It has a limit of about 4000 songs for each storage. Any extra won't be included in the Music library. You can still navigate to the folder. * You can create your own playlist, it needs to use DOS line-ending, and backslash as directory separator. But flac files are not supported in your own playlist. Also I haven't found a way to use playlist on the external card. * There's a limit of 4000 songs total in all the playlists. If you exceeds that, some playlists would miss songs. Not ideal for someone with a big music library. For the price, it's a pretty good portable music player overall. Just be aware of the limitations, and workaround that. Hopefully some of these limitations can be fixed with firmware update. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality device! Perfect for the gym! *by A***R on December 15, 2025* I've been using this mp3 player at the gym for at least 6 months with new sport bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds. It works really well, and I don't end up doomscrolling on my phone between sets, and it fits in my pocket so nicely and I can forget it's there. The bluetooth seemed to work in fits and starts at first (choppy), but then I downsized all my mp3's to 128k (with free online software) and it works much much better - not flawless but maybe only cuts out a few times during a workout, so totally manageable. It's my speculation it works better when the gym isn't so crowded we're not all on top of each other, but that's just speculation. I was able to easily set up playlists for my all my music and it holds tons of songs (especially at 128k). If you're having trouble setting up playlists, it follows the old Sandisk Spot Clip Plus formatting guidelines and folder structure, and there is a lot of old posts line about how to set that up. So I was able to use text files with .m3u extensions. Anyway, sound quality is great and I enjoy the EQs. The feel of the plastic housing doesn't feel that substantial, like it's fragile, but I haven't had any issues and dropped it a few times. I've never gotten it wet before though, so I don't know about that. The battery life happened to be good too! For me, at least 8 hours. One time the batter life indicator was on the last leg and so I left it going to see and it lasted 4 more hours.
