Just like people hauling trailers, I needed a safety backup to prevent accidents. No one wants their trailer slipping away on the freeway. This hitch pin is a strong piece of equipment that will prevent my tire carrier from coming off. But it does not come with a lock, so if you're worried someone might steal the pin, get a lockable pin. It was a bit of a struggle installing it.
