The charger is for 12V batteries only. It cannot charge a 60V system. **Q: why did this charger turn off and let my battery die over the winter only to turn back on after i recharged the battery with a different charger?** A: The charger will not charge a battery that is completely dead so if something happened (power outage etc) and the battery died completely then that would explain what happened.
