Your question: the mechanism thinks the time is 5 minutes ahead of the minute hand. I would gently and slowly move the minute hand ahead five minutes but not during the period five minutes til the hour until five minutes after the hour. That is how I would coordinate the hand with the chime. See how it does at the next chiming time. You may have to remove clock battery for 5 minutes to adjust to proper time since you should not turn chiming clocks backwards to correct the time. You really screw things up doing that. Good luck. **Q: Does it chime on quarter hour too?** A: No. It only chimes on the hour. **Q: What are the dimensions** A: The clock is 32" tall, 12" wide and 5" deep. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bedford Clock Collection 31 31in Wall Clock, Cherry Oak - 6 Ft Power Strip Surge Protector - Yintar Extension Cord with 6 AC Outlets and 3 USB Ports for Home, Office, Dorm Essentials, 1680 Joules, ETL Listed, Black - Utopia Towels Cotton Washcloths Set - 100% Ring Spun Cotton, Premium Quality Flannel Face Cloths, Highly Absorbent and Soft Feel Fingertip Towels (24 Pack, White) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/63503974-classic-31-chiming-wall-clock-with-roman-numerals-and-swinging](https://www.desertcart.us/products/63503974-classic-31-chiming-wall-clock-with-roman-numerals-and-swinging) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
