Legal Disclaimer Please read if being used for Coal up to two half inch in size works best like egg coal or doubles coal the smaller the coal the better performance. Coal sometimes can bridge if this occurs, Smartly pull the handle down around 2 inches and let the handle go as the handle returns hitting the hopper, this will shake the hopper breaking the bridging above to release the coal, If unsure ask your local coal man to get in touch with us ## Features - COAL Slack NO SHOVEL REQUIRED SMARTLY PULL THE HANDLE - Animal FEED NO SCOOP REQUIRED FRESH FEED HEALTHY ANIMAL - PROTECT YOUR PROPERTY FROM SNOW AND ICE - WOOD PELLETS STAY DRY PROTECT YOUR BOILER - WATER PROOF VERMIN PROOF ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00K6N9H7I | | Brand Name | Greenans Products Ltd | | Colour | black | | Customer Reviews | 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars (8) | | Item Weight | 21 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Greenans Products Ltd | | Material Type | Plastic, Wood | | Recommended Uses For Product | Coal, Wood Pellets, Animal Feed, Salt, Grit | | Special Features | Waterproof | | UPC | 750869335002 | | Unit Count | 1 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Greenans Products Ltd - **Colour:** black - **Material:** Plastic, Wood - **Recommended uses for product:** Coal, Wood Pellets, Animal Feed, Salt, Grit - **Special feature:** Waterproof ## Images ![The Smart Bunker Plastic (NO shovel required) coal wood pellets animal feed bin salt and grit - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Pbwzo5K4L.jpg) ![The Smart Bunker Plastic (NO shovel required) coal wood pellets animal feed bin salt and grit - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41CDUm7x6WL.jpg) ![The Smart Bunker Plastic (NO shovel required) coal wood pellets animal feed bin salt and grit - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41SxNqCm+4L.jpg) ![The Smart Bunker Plastic (NO shovel required) coal wood pellets animal feed bin salt and grit - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41ygy05JCRL.jpg) ![The Smart Bunker Plastic (NO shovel required) coal wood pellets animal feed bin salt and grit - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41p23g8SLiL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is it easy too fill as we will be getting 2 bags of coal however I have rheumatoid arthritis so would the coal man be able too put it in ??** A: We use Homefire oval coal brickettes. The hopper size we have holds 3 bags of coal which the coalman puts in with no trouble. We put a B&Q cheap bucket under the chute to catch the coal. The bucket is a bit too tall so needs tilting to withdraw it from under the chute. Problem is the coal ovals nearly always jam in the hatch and interlock so they don't drop into the bucket. I have to wiggle a broom handle down through the coal to dislodge the blockage. Not too bad but would be if wrists painful. My wife has arthritic wrists and cannot comfortably perform this procedure. Wife can unjam fairly easily by poking around the chute with a stick from below. It is a shame coal jams because the hopper is otherwise v good. Hope this helps. In your case, I would be a bit circumspect about the purchase. Happy to answer with additional detail if you require it. Hope this helps. Kindest, John. **Q: does it work with the oval briquettes that you use in a multifuel burner** A: Yes but sometimes the coal gets stuck if you overload the hopper. I have found best to put 2 - 3 bags (25Kg) of oval briquettes in at one time. **Q: Is the top and bottom sections only held together with four small plastic bolts and nuts?** A: Yes as the smart bunker is new invention to the market place we over engineered with 9 plastic bolts to start with but found this would was doing more harm after testing, We have now 4 bolts where the load stress is on the smart bunkers. The plastic bolts is used because of rust, also a rubber seal is attached to prevent any water getting in as to the problem with steel bolts. Also there it no tools required when assembling and disassembling the smart bunker. Hope this help, let me know please thanks Niall **Q: How many bags of coal does it hold?** A: 160Kgs up to 3 inch in size, --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/63463958-the-smart-bunker-plastic-no-shovel-required-coal-wood-pellets](https://www.desertcart.us/products/63463958-the-smart-bunker-plastic-no-shovel-required-coal-wood-pellets) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
