Review: Panel damage, ProArt Calibration? Not sure if this is right. PA278CGV. - Received it today, item defective. Screen came in with signs of panel damage: backlight issue in one section to the middle left, when screen area is black there’s one visible bar of one vertical bar (area that’s dim and have white light gradient borders.) that’s visibly damaged, smelled like burnt electrical wires (not sure if damaged on transit). “ProArt” color calibration, came in warm by default. The entire screen was yellow and off white on white areas. The refresh rate was “Ok” upto 144hz but no dynamic refresh as well as able to enable G-SYNC (G-SYNC not available on NVIDIA control panel) Processed for returns, this was disappointing. We purchased a similar item PA278QV, and that item was perfect in terms of color calibration, and I picked the PA278CGV for a higher refresh rate. I’ve purchased this for graphics design, and 3D game asset creation and development, this is honestly NOT acceptable for the price point neither is it usable unfortunately.
Review: Muy bueno con detalles - Es un muy buen monitor, el tamaño es bastante útil para diferentes tareas y consumo de contenidos. Los 144hz con FreeSync funcionan adecuadamente y las imágenes son de calidad aunque no sorprendentes. Viene bien empacado e incluye todos los cables que necesitarás. Es pesado, especialmente por su soporte, el cual es muy grande pero es realmente útil pues puedes manipular y acomodar el monitor de muchas maneras útiles y al final, es un soporte muy estético. Su función sRGB tiene poco brillo, pero en los otros modos es satisfactorio. El HDR también funciona adecuadamente. No tiene función HDMI ARC. Sí lo recomiendo, aunque durante este año que lo he tenido ha mostrado leves fallas, como que los botones se “presionaban solos”, como un falso contacto, y lo solucione con unos golpecitos en esa zona. También ha sucedido que la imagen vibre, o tiemble como si su potencia variara, ha sido extraño y ha desaparecido automáticamente.

Received it today, item defective. Screen came in with signs of panel damage: backlight issue in one section to the middle left, when screen area is black there’s one visible bar of one vertical bar (area that’s dim and have white light gradient borders.) that’s visibly damaged, smelled like burnt electrical wires (not sure if damaged on transit). “ProArt” color calibration, came in warm by default. Es un muy buen monitor, el tamaño es bastante útil para diferentes tareas y consumo de contenidos. Los 144hz con FreeSync funcionan adecuadamente y las imágenes son de calidad aunque no sorprendentes. Viene bien empacado e incluye todos los cables que necesitarás. Es pesado, especialmente por su soporte, el cual es muy grande pero es realmente útil pues puedes manipular y acomodar el monitor de muchas maneras útiles y al final, es un soporte muy estético. Su función sRGB tiene poco brillo, pero en los otros modos es satisfactorio. El HDR también funciona adecuadamente. No tiene función HDMI ARC. Sí lo recomiendo, aunque durante este año que lo he tenido ha mostrado leves fallas, como que los botones se “presionaban solos”, como un falso contacto, y lo solucione con unos golpecitos en esa zona. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Overall But Has Some Issues

Great overall compared to my previous 13 year old PA246Q. Text is clean and crisp and the stand is solid and easy to adjust. It supports AMD FreeSync but it works just fine with Nvidia G-Sync It has some minor issues though: switching inputs takes longer than my old monitor which had a single button to do this; with this one I have to fiddle with the OSD and it takes way too many button presses. Switching to another input can also sometimes take several seconds. The blue light filter saving is inconsistent; sometimes the monitor remembers my setting for days, other times only until I turn it off and then it resets it back to zero. Another annoyance is that the signal is lost completely when turning off the monitor, so when using it as a second monitor all the open windows and apps get moved to the first monitor; with my old monitor this only happened with DisplayPort but with this one it's also with HDMI.
