The vehicle itself is original to AZ, though it was purchased in similar climate in SoCA. Never even realized it was supposed to be like this. Package arrived earlier than expected. (4 hrs earlier than it said it would). It's a perfect fit. Removal and install takes less than 5 mins. You just need to roll down the hatch window fully. Then gently pry it off (it pops out) then install new replacement is the opposite. (Snaps right in. Be careful not to be too forceful, as the dock for the rear wiper partially goes behind the weather strip and is only held on by adhesive on the hatch itself) My only gripe is price. Because $42 for a weather strip is sorta pricey. But I suppose worth it in the end, since it's a toyota genuine part. Exact match. Wish I done it sooner to be honest, as I do have some chicken scratches (though not easily visible unless you REALLY look for them) in the glass itself, and think it's mostly because my old one disenigrated and the sand and whatnot just gets grinded into it, whenever it's used.
