Review: They crave them - Chickens follow me around like puppy dogs ## Features - COOHGRUBS VS Other Mealworms: Every bag goes through a strict 4-step cleaning and screening process to ensure only golden, whole larvae—no powder, no fillers. Unlike many low-temp dried meal worms or mixed grubs, COOHGRUBS deliver clean, safe, high-quality nutrition your birds deserve. - Stronger Eggshells, Healthier Hens: Packed with the perfect balance of calcium and phosphorus, COOHGRUBS BSF larvae deliver up to 100x more calcium than dried mealworms. This extra boost helps your laying hens produce harder eggshells, stronger bones, and better hatch rates. - Protein for Feather Regrowth & Energy: With 45–50% protein, these grubs are ideal during molting or cold months when birds need extra fuel. They support faster feather regrowth, steady energy, and keep your flock healthy, shiny and happy year-round. - Supports Immunity & Gut Health: COOHGRUBS are rich in lauric acid—a natural compound known to support immune resilience. Plus, the bioactive components in BSFL help maintain healthy gut flora, leading to better digestion, improved nutrient absorption, and less messy droppings in the chicken coop. - Encourages Foraging & Boosts Vitality – Scatter COOHGRUBS grub worms on the ground to stimulate your chickens’ natural pecking instincts. Specially beneficial for show birds needing extra nutrition, these chicken treats help keep your flock active, happy, and full of superior vitality! - Easy to Store: The Grubs come in a Resealable inner bag housed within a gift box, making storage and repeated use easy and convenient. To ensure freshness and maximize shelf life, store the dried worms in a ventilated, dry place—away from moisture, direct sunlight, and other food items. - Great for Poultry, Birds & More: Perfect as chicken treats or supplements, COOHGRUBS are tasty and healthy that are loved by chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, and wild birds. They’re also a natural protein source for fish, turtles, and reptiles, making them a versatile addition to any feeding routine. - Feeding Guide: Mix COOHGRUBS dried BSFL as 10-15% of daily feed. Give Adult Chickens: 0.18-0.35oz (1-2 tbsp). Pullets/Grower: 0.15-0.25oz (¾-1.5 tbsp). Layers: 0.25-0.35oz (1.5-2 tbsp). Increase to 0.5-0.7oz during molting for a protein boost. COOHGRUBS High-calcium BSFL for strong shells and happy hens! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B092PMS382 | | Additional Features | Sustainable protein source with high calcium content, non-GMO, additive-free, and preservative-free | | Age Range Description | All Life Stages | | Age range (description) | All Life Stages | | Animal Food Diet Type | Raw | | Animal Food Ingredient Claim | Additive-Free | | Animal Food Nutrient Content Claim | High Protein | | Best Sellers Rank | #104,568 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #51 in Bird Treats | | Brand | COOHGRUBS | | Brand Name | COOHGRUBS | | Breed Recommendation | All Breed Sizes | | Container Type | Carton | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 926 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | All | | Flavor | All Chickens Will Love | | Flavour | All Chickens Will Love | | Item Form | Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae | | Item Weight | 2.27 kg | | Item form | Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae | | Manufacturer | COOH SCIENCE SHENZHEN LIMITED | | Manufacturer Part Number | 5 lbs Box-Packed with Resealable Bag | | Model Number | 5 lbs Box-Packed with Resealable Bag | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Amphibian, Bird, Dog, Fish, Reptile, Small Animal | | Product Benefits | Enhances chicken health and egg production with essential nutrients | | Recommended Uses For Product | Support poultry health, enhance egg production and quality, aid in molting process, boost immune system and gut health | | Special Ingredients | Black Soldier Fly Larvae | | Special ingredients | Black Soldier Fly Larvae | | Specific Uses For Product | A Natural Feed Protein Supplement, Boost the Immune System, Improve Eggshell Quality, Increase Egg Production, Speed Up the Molting Process | | Specific uses for product | A Natural Feed Protein Supplement, Boost the Immune System, Improve Eggshell Quality, Increase Egg Production, Speed Up the Molting Process Specific uses for product A Natural Feed Protein Supplement, Boost the Immune System, Improve Eggshell Quality, Increase Egg Production, Speed Up the Molting Process See more | | Target Species | Chickens, Ducks, Hens, Birds, Fish, Poultry, Reptiles and Amphibians | | UPC | 730869487666 | | Unit Count | 80 Grams | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** All Life Stages - **Brand:** COOHGRUBS - **Flavour:** All Chickens Will Love - **Item form:** Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae ## Images ![COOHGRUBS 5LB Non-GMO Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae Chicken Treats - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81DsJXrlVIL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Where was it made?** A: Hello, we raise black soldier fly larvae with our fully automated environmental control systems in China.
