Cantucci ... traditional Italian biscuits It is said that there is no dessert that can satisfy the palate if it is not told. And here is the story of our almond cantucci, a story that dates back to the early 1900s and a recipe that, still today, faithfully traces the traditional one of our grandmothers! Li biscutte tajate by hand, the cantucci, (it seems that the term derives from the term cantellus, piece or slice of bread) whose peculiarity is the double cooking, or the first cooking of the loaf for about 30 minutes and the second cooking after slicing the warmed loaf (still soft) for about 7-8 minutes to make them crunchy. In Abruzzo they are accompanied with good coffee or vin santo or better still with the Abruzzese ratafia defined as the Abruzzo elixir of which the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio praised aphrodisiac properties. Review: If you don't want a normal sized biscotti but crave the taste, then these are the ones to get. They are bite sized. A bit hard to eat...be careful biting into them. They are a bit hard. But, if you like dunking biscotti in coffee or another beverage, they are great. Bite sized and taste great. You may be tempted to have two or three at a time. They are individually wrapped which is just what works for me.

**Q: Are they cookies chewy or crumblie?  I know crumblie is not a word.**
A: There more chewy than crispy for sure, crispy would be the Cantucci Almond we have also.

**Q: how many per box? i am reading 120?**
A: Yes. If I remember correctly that's approximately how many are in the box. They are not long, but a smaller size.

If you don't want a normal sized biscotti but crave the taste, then these are the ones to get. They are bite sized. A bit hard to eat...be careful biting into them. They are a bit hard. But, if you like dunking biscotti in coffee or another beverage, they are great. Bite sized and taste great. You may be tempted to have two or three at a time. They are individually wrapped which is just what works for me.

Buoni, come al solito, questi biscotti sono i miei preferiti. Ciò che ho apprezzato particolarmente è che ogni biscottino ha la sua confezione e tutti sono contenuti in un'unica scatola da un kilo.
