It unfolds logically, with a few rules along the way. On the reverse side of the board there is added night play with a river for extended playability. Plays 2 to 5. I think age 8 and above is appropriate, but not a kiddie game adults will enjoy it. This game is like a starter at a restaurant that is better than the main. Or maybe like the path less taken amoung more dense games. Sorbet to ice cream...I can go on, but I won't. Really, It's a cool change of pace game that belongs in your collection.
