I wore them on a job where I was walking in rain and storms. I walked in unavoidable puddles, and my feet stayed dry. They are also pretty comfortable, as I walked over 25k steps a day (Saturdays and Sundays). I did still have achy feet, but it was minimal compared to another brand of hiking shoes I have. I was working 14-hour shifts in an uneven rocky terrain, so I did not expect to experience zero pain in my feet. I only experienced some achiness on the inner part of my heels. My feet never swelled. I will definitely always wear these boots when I am going on a hike or working that outdoor job. I highly recommend these boots! The quality is amazing. They are easy to clean as the mud rinses off easily with a water hose.
