My headlights weren’t bad, so I only used 600, 1k, 1.5k, and finished with 2k(not provided). Then I did the electrolyte conversion, and wet sanded again with 2k grit and finished with another electrolyte solution. The first pass the result was not ideal, but hitting it again seemed to help blend out those superficial sandpaper scratches that really determine how good of a result you get. To be honest, you could do this as often as necessary to maintain that very clear result and avoid the deep deep sanding. I would use the super course sandpaper unless it seemed absolutely necessary.
