The height is nice for someone like me and does not seem too short or too high which makes it comfortable for me. As for the lights on it, they work better than I thought they would! You can make them brighter or dim and have several colors and flash patterns! Assembling is a little difficult but instruction do include tricks if you are putting together by yourself. Instructions also provide instruction for the "L" shape either going to the left or right. Value is definetly worth it, but I do want to advise. Desk space is great but not the best considering the monitor stand/shelf having a bar right in the middle which only gives just under a foot of space.
