I sanded the mask down for paint-ability and used a nail dremel around the eyes, holes, and edges of the mask. I went extra deep here and there for a gouged effect. I did create the red hockey mask triangles but ended up covering them when I used a stone colored paint/primer spray paint so everything would adhere better. Then I applied dark brown, stone, and dark red all-surface acrylic paint with my finger and a wet paper towel to create a variated base color. I went around the eyes and holes a few times with black paint and used a wet paper towel to blur the lines. I finished it off with two coats of matte clear coat and here she is.
