Also, if a 16+ pound cat sits or lays on this, will it hold up?** A: This treat maze would work with any shape treat, dry food, etc. The cat needs to push or pull pieces out through the various openings. So the only requisite for what you put into this toy is that the cat WANTS it!!! This toy will definitely take a 16 pound cat sitting on it. There are cardboard baffles inside the toy that also act as supports for the top. Our 13# kitty is pretty aggressive with this toy and we've had it for months with no problem. I highly recommend it! **Q: is this cardboard?** A: Yes it's cardboard, but very sturdy. I've had one for nearly a year now and bring it out twice to three times a week* for three cats playtime. It's got some stains from the oilier treats, but that doesn't matter structurally.
