Review: Overall, Nuovva makes durable, quality cookware - Dutch ovens are the original slow cookers. Our 6-quart pot is the perfect size for two people and leftovers. I appreciate the color options. Unlike some reviews, ours came as shown, a nice green. Unfortunately, the lid arrived slightly warped and didn’t fit tightly, a necessary trait for a Dutch oven/casserole dish. As desertcart Prime members, we returned it free under desertcart’s return policy. While most desertcart products have free returns for Prime members, not all do, so read the product shipping and return policies carefully before buying any product. Our replacement pot arrived in perfect condition. Concerning chips. I’m amazed any fragile product (enameled cookware is one), produced overseas and shipped here arrives to the buyer undamaged. Packaging is usually excellent. You can blame the freight forwarders; FEDEX, UPS and yes, desertcart for your damaged shipment, not the manufacturer. Enamel/porcelain is hard, but brittle. So why enameled cookware versus bare cast iron? Maintenance and seasoning. Enameled cookware requires less cleaning and NO periodic seasoning. And it is more elegant than bare cast iron. My wife has prepared many tasty dishes in this pot. Many months and meals later it’s still looking new. Not mentioned, is its self-basting lid, a feature of all true Dutch ovens. As steam collects under the lid, instead of just running off to the sides, each point collects the steam , then it drops evenly over the food inside. One reviewer commented about the weight of the pot. The 6-quart pot and lid weighs 14 lbs. When filled with food, it may weigh up to 25 lbs.! The pot’s description states “Cast Iron”. Cast iron cookware is heavy for a reason. It retains heat, and since the sides and bottom, (and top when cooking in an oven) are similar thickness, food cooks more evenly and faster. Overall this is good, quality cookware.

It’s a great size and feels very sturdy and well made. It holds the heat really well, and everything cooked evenly. I also really like the enamel coating, which makes cleanup much easier. The lid fits nicely and the pot looks really nice too. It is definitely heavier than a regular pot, but that’s expected with cast iron. I’m looking forward to trying more recipes in it because so far, I’m very happy with my purchase!

Dutch ovens are the original slow cookers. Our 6-quart pot is the perfect size for two people and leftovers. I appreciate the color options. Unlike some reviews, ours came as shown, a nice green. Unfortunately, the lid arrived slightly warped and didn’t fit tightly, a necessary trait for a Dutch oven/casserole dish. As Amazon Prime members, we returned it free under Amazon’s return policy. While most Amazon products have free returns for Prime members, not all do, so read the product shipping and return policies carefully before buying any product. Great size, easy to clean. I needed an enameled iron pot for a while and this was the perfect choice! Very pretty and the color images are what you get. It's iron so very sturdy, but also very heavy because same reason. All handles get hot, but also expected. Cleaning is an easy soak in the sink with soap and water and a little scrubbing may be needed. I just put it back on the oven and turn the burger on to dry.
