Easy to assemble. While having a second person would have been helpful, it wasn't difficult to do it alone. The main issue I had while assembling was that there were 2 places where the channels had little metal bumps that did not allow the part from the other side to slide in properly so the holes for the screws would not align. I didn't have anything on hand to file it down, so used a flat head screw driver to keep pushing at it, then kept trying to pushing the parts into place. Finally managed to get it in and get it set up. Without that last bit, I would have been done in under an hour. Yeah I could have called in for a replacement, but I really wanted to finish it. :)Finish is good. Feels sturdy when I sit on it to wear shoes. If I push the back part, it sways back - I have it against a wall so that's not a problem for me. Some others have mentioned an odor, and I was a bit concerned about that before I ordered.
