I've been adding it to their gravy in their food as they've had a bout of cat flu recently. It seems to loosen up the mucus and they sneeze it out, but the congestion returns a few hours later. I think it's a lot like those nasal sprays you can get for humans with allergies. Not a solution to anything for sure, but definitely helps aleveate the symptoms.
