I loved Quaker Maple n Brown Sugar oatmeal as a kid but kind of steered cleared of it in my adult life because of the lack of nutrients and too much sugar. Until now. Twelve grams of protein a serving and 12 grams of sugar, I thought I would give it a shot. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. If you’ve ever had the cereal “Banana Nut Crunch” imagine that flavor in oatmeal form. Delicious strong banana flavor, nice texture, a few nuts mixed in. Absolutely delicious, like a warm banana bread in a bowl. I spruced it a bit to add some more fiber in it to make it a wonderful high fiber/high protein nutrient dense snack. My recipe: Two packets of Banana Nut Oatmeal (add with water as directed on packet, or milk if you want it creamier) Two tablespoons of Chia Seeds One and 1/2 Tablespoons of ground Flax Seeds A few walnuts (or nut of your choosing)crushed on top. Enjoy.
