**Q: Can these lights handle a Minnesota winter or would they need to be taken down in the fall?**
A: We have these on the end of our pier & all our outside steps at our cabin in northern WI.  They have worked very well for us and we never remove them for the winter.

**Q: Do they automatically charge and come on?**
A: Yes. There’s a switch inside you just turn to on during set up. Then that’s it. They turn on automatically every night then.

**Q: Do they automaically come on at night?**
A: Yes. They stay on all night too and have been great at keeping our deck better illuminated, especially the stairs. They don't look so scary now!

**Q: What kind of replacement batteries do you need**
A: One 1.2v 600mah AA Ni-CD rechargeable battery is provided. However, this battery is insufficient to provide light all night long. I recommend replacing with a AA NI-MH battery of at least 2000mah.
