It's more storage, so it doesn't matter to me, but the lack of accuracy was a little concerning. Also, contrary to the image, there is actually backing provided for both sections. You can't really have the open side backless because the glass panels will slide out, as they're only balanced on some ledges. There were a few inconsistencies in the instructions, which caused me to restart a few times, as an inexperienced builder. Physically, the handiwork is pretty easy to construct. As a few others mentioned, there is a strange smell on the wood, but not nearly potent enough for it to bother me - it was only really noticeable when you stick your head into the cupboard and actively try to smell it. The hinges aligned fine, they just looked like they wouldn't before I adjusted them. The boarding/panelling for the back of the shelves are very flimsy, so be careful with those as you only get one shot at nailing them in. The LEDs work great, you just need to make sure you've joined the cables correctly. Instructions where easy enough to follow. I purposely left the backing off as I thought it looks better without it. Leds are good but I'm going to replace them with Tapo smart strip to complement my other Tapo devices.
