Just have to remove the three short bungees to access the mounts. Be careful with the front clamps as the handle could puncture the shade if it hits it with enough force. I’m assuming this shade is not made to be easily removed as I had to remove the corner trim on the windshield and the speaker pod to get the bungees around those bars. **Q: What is the % of UV protection?** A: Not sure. Go lay under a trampoline. Same material. It will give you an idea **Q: any one have trouble getting the top center holes to line up** A: I don't have a hard top but mine line up really closely it's pretty flexible, it's one of the best items I've bought for my jeep **Q: Is this waterproof** A: It's mesh. So no. But it doesn't let much through since the holes are really small. It doesn't get damaged getting wet either. It's great for the price. But if it rains you'll get wet. Alien rules the cool! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have for a jeep *by D***. on March 22, 2026* Originally owned the smittybilt sunshade which lasted for years while being used in the southern springs, summers, and falls. Dont get me wrong, I loved the smittybilt mesh top. Now though, I have ventured out to try the alien shade and I am very impressed. Thick, durable material with great coverage. The size of each panel fits pretty close to the roll bars, not leaving a huge gap. But the best part of this top is the fact that if the bungee ever start to stretch, break, or just happen to disappear... it literally uses a bungee that can be found at any hardware store, tool store, or even places like Walmart or target.
