This results in razor sharp edges to the handle and the slot used for hanging them. I was seriously concerned about letting anyone use these due to the risk of cuts, particularly while cleaning and rinsing them. I disposed of them all. Its a pity that Amazon don't have a stringent quality control on items they sell.
