Review: Awesome paella pan for open fires - Bought this product for a campout along the coast and seasoned it before I left. It was a litter heavier and larger than I expected, but since we were paddling in (not hiking), it wasn't a deal-breaker. I anticipated that the 15-inch pan would hold enough to feed about 3 people, but it could have easily fed 5+. We used this on an open campfire and I was a little nervous that the paella would burn because the flames were very high at times, but it turned out wonderful. I wasn't able to give it more than a brief scrub while camping and upon coming home there were a few little rust spots, but based on other reviews I just washed it thoroughly and then lightly oiled it and it looks great. Love this pan and plan to use it at home as well.

Pan was heavy and as advertised. I had trouble burning off the protective coating with boiling water and vinegar. Pan was very slippery on the gas burner. I hope that once it is seasoned this won't be an issue. The pan will get darker and rust, but that is the nature of a paella pan.
