Use a heat gun to activate the adhesive on the tape and seat it well and let it cool. Peel the tape and heat the mirror cap on the car. Careful, don't overheat it. carefully sit the carbon cap over the cleaned mirror cap. You may have to bend the sides out to get it to seat properly, but once it's right, press wherever the tape contacts the mirror cap and give it at least 2 days before washing your car.
