Review: Oh- the detect light isn't a just a gimmick, it's for real.. It works. The vacuum is amazing too - Well, I honestly didn't think I'd be reviewing this any time soon or buying one considering the price, but then our stove caught our kitchen on fire along with my old beloved V10. Shoutout to my Dad's insurance for this V15. I'm what you would call a vacuum enthusiast, but my true love is with shop vacs. I make daily disasters in the shop. In the house on carpet and hard floor though, these cordless Dyson vacs (v10 or better) aren't a joke, they really work and they really replaced our old Dyson ball animal v2 completely. We have a 130lb infinite hair generator (yellow lab) and he generates as much hair as I do saw and metal dust. Not having to deal with a cord completely changed the way I vacuumed, from begrudgingly when my Dad told me to cause we're having company, to sort of enjoying it and doing it 4-5 times per week. I've shown the effectiveness of and actually sold 2 family members and 1 friend on cordless vacs. Unless you live in a small mansion with multiple pets I sincerely bet even an older or cheaper Dyson would suit your needs. Anyway how's the V15 compared to the V10? Yeah it's basically better in every way, unsurprisingly, but the surprise to me was the fact the green detect LED isn't some desperate gimmick, not entirely, it really shows just how clean (or not) your floors are. I'm not a clean freak, but the fluffy detect motorhead will reveal dirt dust and hair you didn't know was there. How much that actually matters is entirely dependent on your threshold for cleanliness but if nothing else it's a great visual reminder of what needs work and where you've been. The suction is fantastic and borderline ballistic on boost mode. I'm pretty confident I'll never encounter an actual need for boost mode but I'm so glad they added it. It doesn't feel any heavier than the v10 at the handle but it's been a minute since I've used the v10 as it got cooked. Battery life is impressive given the power. I could vacuum every single room of my dad's old 2700 sqft house with the v10 and an aftermarket 6.5ah battery in one charge. Given the higher suction and smaller 3.6ah battery of this v15 I hesitate to guess but I'd say it'd definitely be able to clean the vast majority's highest traffic/dirtiest areas on a charge for sure. The auto power adjustment was a little jarring at first and a feature I wasn't aware of, especially considering the 3 power settings you can still manually select, but it actually does it's thing and works great. I'm not sure if you can turn it off. The dust canister is easy and holds a similar if not larger amount of dust compared to the v10. The fluffy detect motorhead is actually eager to climb and hop some impressive elevation changes in your floor and floor dividers. On hard floors especially with the fluffy motorhead it's much more maneuverable and easier to push, but the carpet motorhead on carpet is definitely harder but not much more than the v10. It does a fantastic job on even medium to heavy pile carpet (Not those shag area rugs though) and makes lightning quick work of hard floors. For how much this costs you'd really hope it's good, and in my humble opinion it definitely is. Indoors this is the best vacuum I've ever used by 5 or 6 good country miles.
Review: Pretty cool - Love it. Now when people say Dyson quality has gone down... Dyson isn't German manufacturing at its finest with perfectly crafted steel where every bit locks perfectly. Dyson is how can we engineer this with the least amount of material possible but make it holdup and perform well. Not everything fits perfectly and can be thrown around in a tantrum and survive. I like it for what it is a cordless vacuum that brings power and convenience. It's not a consistent powerhouse like my plug in but it does the job. The green light is disturbing because if you have pets you find out how disgusting your house is all the time and seems like it's never clean. There is an acceptance curve that comes with this. I love this machine for its practically. Cons are the seal in the canister is a pain in the a** and is very particular on how it needs to be to shut and every time you close it needs to be adjusted and you get your hands dirty. You need to buy aftermarket trigger lock because you have to hold down the trigger and hand gets tired. You have to buy a under the couch adapter thingy. But it has enough power and the refurbished model was great and a bargain. I think reviews calling a scam were just people that got frustrated or expected it to be as powerful as a corded model. It has great suction but if you're expecting it to be as good as corded you are setting yourself up for failure. I have come to love it

I absolutely love this vacuum. The suction power is incredible, it’s lightweight, easy to maneuver and makes cleaning so much faster and more efficient. The illumination feature is honestly impressive — you start seeing dust you didn’t even know was there! Battery life has been great for my daily cleaning routine, and I love the different power modes depending on the area I’m cleaning. Expensive, yes, but in my opinion completely worth the investment.
