I have always worried that if my husband, who weighs over 200 pounds (I am 120 pounds) were to fall, I would not be able to lift him from the floor. If he was not injured, I would hate to bother the first responders just to help get him back on his feet. I think this chair will be perfect for this purpose...one of those things I hope I will never need, just like homeowners and auto insurance. We tried it out after it arrived, and my husband was able to scoot on to it and it lifted him with ease. The instructions say that you need to keep it charged because you cannot operate it while plugged in, so I have set a reminderon my calendar to charge it once a month.
