Whether this is due to the machinery making them or not I don't know but the first roll I used was particularly bad but so far the second roll is OK - so keeping my fingers crossed. I have decided to use these at home as it could get a bit messy if I used them whilst walking the dog - I think that because they are biodegradable they are a lot thinner and therefore weaker than normal poo bags. If however you use nappy bags [which are very thin anyway] then these would be a good alternative if you was to be eco friendly; however, the cost difference is obviously substantial!!! The bags split open at a fold when you put your hand inside to open them and two of the internal surfaces that were meant to open to expand the bags were stuck together. The likelihood of a bag splitting in use when handling dog waste does not inspire confidence.
