**Q: I am thinking of buying this saw for cutting up turkey wings. Does it cut cleanly through bones without splintering the bones?  Thanks**
A: This was a gift for my son as he had hogs he raised and butchered, did great for that. Unsure about turkey wings. Sorry

A: If used lightly, the blades on this thing will last a long time.  Be careful not to hit metal or other hard surfaces with the blade.  Cutting bone and gristle on an occasional basis will be possible for several years or longer dependent on use.

**Q: Which butcher saw works best for Beef tails? Like Ox tails?**
A: I have been using mine just for frozen fish. No experience with beef tails. Seems to me the main things are stainless steel and the length of the blade. For sawing something really big might eant whatever saw has the longest blade.

**Q: how would this work on dense cured meat? capecollo, specifically**
A: From my experience, it would work very well--particularly on frozen and dense product.

Good saw did its job well. Feels well made so should last for sometime.

The first thing I discovered on trying this saw out is that it's heavy and somewhat unwieldy for sideways or diagonal cuts. Not unsurprising, but it takes some getting used to. As with other reviewers, I found that cutting pork rib bones worked best on the back stroke at the beginning, simply because it's so sharp, you can't make progress on the forward stroke until there's a little bit of flat surface for the teeth to glide on. The other reviewers didn't mention that you have to secure the piece REALLY well or you risk your hands and fingers. I literally put the ribs in a vise to cut them. It will surely work best if you have a thigh of a beast that you can cut vertically rather than something like ribs that are too small for this big saw. Nevertheless, it's exactly what I wanted!
