**Q: Anyone but me checked the 1601201051 on the back of the package and then find it as recalled one with usda warning ?**
A: That's the scan bar, it would be batch number or group of fine small print number to be recalled.

**Q: Did Dukes go away with the easy to tear cut on the side of bags? This is my second order and there are no pre-tear sides.**
A: Oh, suck it up, buttercup.  You're eating gussied up slimjims and complaining about "easy to tear cut on the side of bags"???

**Q: So, these went up almost $9.00 dollars in the last two weeks?**
A: yes... i now go to walmart.. they are either $4.98 or $7.98... i usuall pick up 2 or 3 packs every 3 or 4 weeks

**Q: Why was 1 of the packages molded? i bought a 8 pkg of duke's original shorty sausages and 1 package was molded!!!!!! disgusting.**
A: Hi--did your one package of  Duke's sausages arrive moldy before it was even opened?  If so, you have a legitimate complaint.  However, according to directions on the package itself, this product is supposed to be refrigerated after opening to avoid the possibility of mold forming.  Lastly, was the "best by" date imminent, or had it already expired when you received the package?

From another review I agree with the 'perfect about of heat'. I'm not one who wants something so blazing hot it loses all sense of flavor. This snack here fits the bill of quite tasty, the perfect size, & just spicy enough to satisfy. Now that I've found a very affordable source here I'll be sure to keep stocked up on these. They're fairly healthful and the taste. MmmmMmm.
