They have an adhesive option which I chose because i figured it wouldn’t destroy my walls. It did. The shelves came crashing down in the middle of the night and ripped the paint completely down the the drywall. It broke my picture frames that were sitting on it. When I wanted to speak to Amazon I couldn’t as they got rid of their chat. I had to do a return to get my money back. So it will be returned with the paint stuck to the adhesive.
