The specially shaped and frosted optic projects a wide, soft-edged beam with tons of spill, making it perfect for tasks in one’s immediate vicinity, or for navigating low-light areas.The HCRI LED means the colors you see are true-to-life, making this an excellent choice for, photography, medical/emt, and electrical work. Any time color is important, a high CRI rating is key.The five levels of output cover most any situation you’d encounter in day-to-day activities. Triple-tapping means the strobe is useless under stress, so I’d prefer a beacon or sos mode.The new clip design is much better at accommodating wide materials like hat brims, which is nice. When you’re done, it can be clipped lens-down so it’s protected within the pocket.This bundle is a must, imho, as it includes a second rechargeable battery at a discount. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent EDC thumb-size flashlight! I am amazed at today’s flashlight technology! I am very pleased with the Olight Mini S Baton. It is only the size of my thumb, but throws a light brighter than any small flashlight that I’ve ever owned.The Mini’s use of rechargeable RC123A batteries via the battery’s USB port is especially convenient for me. And no more throwing away AAA or AA batteries (and throwing away money)!Having a 2nd battery ready and recharged means I can continuously have my Olight available for use. No “timeout”, for recharging! This package includes a 2nd rechargeable battery and is a no brainer.The deep 2-way pocket clip is also a nice detail. Overall fit and finish appears excellent. The HCMI provides for a more “natural” color lighting that is easier on my eyes, from the limited experience with a family member’s LED flashlight.I can’t comment on the Mini’s durability yet, but will be putting it through an assortment of duties and suspect it will be at least as durable as my mini maglight.Olight appears to have a good following and as long as they continue to stand behind their product warranties I can and will recommend the Olight flashlights to friends and family. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tiny, cute, crazy bright on turbo for 10 seconds, battery lasts, easy to charge. I love my Zebralights for being AA with programmable and wide light output.Had to try this little jewel. My first foray into Li Ion batteries. Love the USB charger built-in. Didn't need to spend $50 on a good Li Ion charger. The batteries stay hand-warm when charging, excellent for long life. I've yet to run out of charge, even after using the light for several hours bounced off the ceiling while I flew X-Plane in the dark, along with intermittent use for a week.I very much like the hold-for-moonlight, cycle thru low/med/high, and 2-clicks for turbo, 3 for strobe. Easy to remember. I bought the HRCI, but it is green/yellow tinged in the spill area. Not as good as my Zebralights in that regard, but probably not noticeable in typical use.Be aware that turbo get the head VERY HOT, very quickly. Use it for 10 seconds, then drop down to high.It's SO tiny and cute.
