The one I received although new has some dents and scratches front and back on the aluminum plate as well as the brass thumb screws and what looks like the machine used to bend the frame the pad sits on also caused damage as there are scratches into the surface at the bend points. (See Pics)Note: you can see it is new, as I left it as is before taking pics ...On top of that, each screw end that you see should be finely machined smooth and on my copy its got dents into each as well as scratches on the machined thumb nuts. This is not the type of quality I expect at this price point, I expect perfection. So if they do not step up the QC on these I wouldn't and cant recommend this. Its a shame as overall it is a nice looking pad but because this is mainly aesthetics and a classy look your buying, they really have to make sure these are near perfect before ever sending them out to end consumer.Because Amazon changed the ability to send this back without extra cost to me it is too much of a hassle or I would have sent it back for a replacement as this is really not acceptable for an item like this that's whole purpose is to have an elegant pad to write on as well as looking great on your desk. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Desk Pad with Fountain Pen Friendly Paper *by E***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 25, 2023* It's so good to get a desk pad that is suitable for writing on with fountain pens without show through or bleed through. Excellent smooth paper, great looking, solid feel desk pad that is refillable. What's not to like. Well worth it's 5 star rating despite the fact that I'm quite careful about dishing out 5 stars.I would recommend this to any fountain pen user (and other users) as a great desk pad. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pad *by D***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 29, 2022* First class bit of kit love it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Exacompta - Ref 12523E - FAF Desk Pad Refill / Recharge Pad No.3 (170 Sheets) - 185 x 115mm in Size, 70gsm Micro-Perforated Sheets, Dot Rulings, FSC-Certified - Exacompta - Ref 12123E - FAF Desk Pad No.3 - 185 x 115mm in Size, Refillable with Recharge Pads, Stable When Writing, Non-Slip Feet - Dot Ruled Paper, FSC-Certified, White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/614131611-faf-metal-desk-pad-for-home-or-office-200-white](https://www.desertcart.us/products/614131611-faf-metal-desk-pad-for-home-or-office-200-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
