Even the fours mentioned some warping and edge damage upon receipt, but the package I received was in perfect shape. The package was a moisture resistant (proof?) bubble wrap sealed envelope. The corners were protected by plastic binders. The edges were cleanly cut and straight, the quality of the wood is excellent. Yes, the actual dimensions are about 1/8" short of 12", but that is not a problem unless one actually needs 12" exactly. BTW: the short dimension is apparently a common complaint on every one of the comparative items I looked at.
