Review: Very good fan that does its job well - VonHaus Oscillating Tower Fan - 31” Upright Cooling Fan for Home or Office I have read quite a few other reviews that say this fan is loud and makes a clicking noise, I have to say they have to be faulty fans (during transit or otherwise) as mine is quite quiet. I actually expected it to be louder due to the price. It has 3 different levels of speed and a timer - the timer could have been designed much better, in fact it would probably been harder to make it any worse, but i hardly use it so do not mind too much. I use mine in the living room and have to say with things like the TV on and background people talking you can not even hear the fan. It sits in the corner of the room and can feel the breeze from about 10 feet away. The oscillation is well within my needs of covering most of the room. The height being 31" is probably the minimum and Tower fan can be, any shorter and it should not be called a tower fan in my opinion, it is much shorter than previous tower fans I have purchased, but still does the job especially when sitting down .
