The size is great for the price. It's got enough thickness that baby can play on it safely. I am using mine like a carpet in our nursery and my kids run in there just to lay on it. WATERPROOF! If anything spills on the mat it easily wipes up which is a huge deal at the toddler stage especially. If you want to put it away it just folds right back up too.
