They had fun adding in the sparkles and bits. It’s a little sticky but it didn’t leave any residue on my coffee table or their hands. I did have to vacuum up some of the loose sparkles when they were done but not too bad. I would say it’s good for my 6-8 year olds, but adding the mix-ins might get messier for younger kids without supervision. It does have a peppermint scent but it’s not too overwhelming. It closes back up in the container it comes in for storage.
