The bags themselves are super super thin. Feels really easy to rip. I am legitimately afraid to put anything too sharp in these which kind of defeats a trash bag since you need to be able to put any trash into it. I mean it works but only in moderation. I want to know who is throwing in only light garbage? I would hope with a trash can I can throw in any garbage without having to pick and choose because the trash bag is too thin!!! This is a lot of refills and will let you use your trash can for a long time. My only other concern is that this trash can system is extremely proprietary and if ANYTHING goes wrong with that trash can itself and/or the sealing mechanism, you now have a trash can that you cannot use.
