Product Description Ready Seal 515 5-Gallon Pail Pecan Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer From the Manufacturer Ready Seal stain enhances the natural beauty of the wood allowing the texture and grain of the wood to remain visible. This stain is an oil-based, semi transparent stain and sealer in one, suitable for all your exterior wood projects. It is a unique formula that penetrates deeply to protect and preserve wood from the elements such as mold, mildew and damaging UV rays.

Review: Excellent product - I purchased 15 gallons of the pecan stain. It's easy to apply and dries lighter than when first applied, leaving my decks a warm golden/brown color. It has very good water beading properties and my 50 year old pressure treated decks were left looking almost new. Wash the decks with straight bleach. I poured a gallon of bleach into a five gallon bucket and applied the bleach using a car wash brush on a stick as a mop. Let it sit for several minutes only, then rinse it thoroughly using a pressure washer. Don't bother with "deck cleaners" and "brighteners" they're a waste of time and money. Apply the stain by first using a brush to get only the areas that a 3"roller can't get to (like corners where wood meets) then finish the large areas with a 3" roller. Spindles should be stained using a lambs wool mitt.

Really easy to work with. Be sure to wear appropriate protective wear if you go with the oil based. Its a bit messy, but well worth it. Turned out really beautiful. Very happy with the results.
