**Q: Are these acrylic paints and how well do they work on canvas?**
A: Yes the fabric paints are acrylic and work extremely well on canvas, canvas shoes, etc.

**Q: Do these fabric paints work on leather?**
A: Yes, however it is always best to prepare the leather before you begin - for example, remove any coatings, waxes or oils that may be on the surface of the leather. We also recommend testing the paint on a small area first.

**Q: Does the paint come off fabric and clothing when it is washed?**
A: No, the paint is permanent. After you ‘set’ the paint by ironing (after 12-24 hrs of painting) you can wash the garment or fabric 72 hours later.

**Q: Does the paint allow careful 3D build up layer-by-layer, and is the end result have a ‘plastic’ finish?**
A: The paints do come out as a thick, stable gel, and they layer well as long as you let each layer dry before applying the next one. The end result has a pleasing shiny plastic finish.

**Q: Can the paint be used on hard surfaces such as plastic, wood, etc?**
A: Yes, the paint is suitable for plastic, wood, shells, rocks... but always spray them with a clear protective coat when dry.

These dimensional fabric paints work just like I had hoped they would. So far I’ve used them on synthetic felt and on paper. They look great and adhere well. The paint also sticks to itself really well if you want to do multiple layers. The nozzle comes to a very fine point so you can do small details. I also liked that they came with a couple brushes. I tried using all 24 bottles, and they were all the same consistency. The names of the colors don’t always seem to match the colors themselves. The “Cold Gray” is more of a purple, the “Mauve” is WAY darker than I would expect, the “Fluorescent Green” isn’t fluorescent at all, etc. To make it more difficult, several of the colors dry a little bit darker than they appear in the bottle, and the printed color dots on the side of the box were not even close. So I made my own color palette that I now store in the box with the paints. I’ve attached a picture here. I don’t know that my phone camera was able to perfectly capture the colors, but it’s a lot closer than the guide on the box, that’s for sure. Update May 17, 2020 - It's now been about a year and a half since I ordered these paints. I hadn't used them in almost a year, but decided to pull them out again recently. I was pleased to find that they hadn't dried out at all. I used them to decorate some glass, and they worked great. You can apply the paint as it is, or you can water it down and get a pretty translucent look. Still happy with this purchase!
