A: Knipex is a German brand, not made in the USA. But the quality is actually better then some Snap-On stuff I own.

A: According to Knipex, all their tools are made in Germany. What I can tell you is that they work great. I am a mechanic, and I use them all the time.

**Q: Whats the difference between these and the same model #SBA version for $20 more?**
A: SBA just means it comes in retail packaging (hang card vs. cardboard box); the tool is identical.

**Q: If you cut off a nail as close as possible, how much of it is left protruding from the face of a board?**
A: As little as possible. Jk.
Best case scenario (clean and precise cut) less than 1/8” would remain protruding from a flat surface like a wooden board.
