I bought it because I needed a cheap fountain pen for work (since I fill loads of paperwork by hand and I despise doing it with typical office pens), one that I won't cry over if somebody knocks it off my desk and breaks. But now I think I will actually end up taking my L-brand pen to work and leaving this one at home! The quality is such a surprise - I was expecting a cheap plastic pen with a scratchy nib, but now I actually like this one more than most of my branded pens... High quality metal, lovely colours, ergonomic grip, very well balanced weight-wise, the nib design resembles retraceable nibs and I find it absolutely beautiful. The nib itself is very smooth, the ink flows in a very "wet" way, zero scratching or dead lines even when taking steep, angled strokes. The nib is on the finer end of a standard Medium (I would say Japanese M rather than a German one), with a good width variation while applying different pressures. I honestly thought it would be a plastic similar to the disposable ones for the price paid. Totally wrong in a pleasant way.
