I find that it churns and completes the ice cream in about 30 minutes which I think is amazing. It’s not loud compared to other ice cream machines - there is some noise from the compressors and motors, but not noticeable from the next room. The one thing I do wish they did was make the paddle - or at least the connector to the motor pin - metal rather than plastic. I haven’t had an issue but could see how that could wear out or break over time. I’d also suggest not stopping and starting once the ice cream is nearing completion. The motor isn’t strong enough to move the semi frozen product from a still state.
