It is fairly light (in the weight sense), therefore easy to fit. In our case, I needed to replace the existing ceiling rose with a "chocolate block" connector, which was then tucked in above the plasterboard, leaving two tails to connect to the new light. The description of 1500LM is about right, similar brightness to an old 100W incandescent bulb. However at 3000K (colour temperature), it is a bit less "warm white" than I expected, but perfectly OK in a hallway.
