It crowns different size frets from somewhat narrow to jumbo. I have done several leveling jobs on my guitars and finished with the crowning of the fret. I find this crowning file works about as good as the Z file (I own both). Both products work well at getting a crown onto a leveled fret without risk of over filing. I just run a black sharpie line on the leveled fret and then work the file over the fret to crown until there is just a very thin black line at the top of the fret.
