I like the look and feel of them, except for mild defects with extra plastic around the two ends that fit together. Some could hold 5 sharpened pencils and some only 4. A few just would not stay closed very well. My 3rd grade students seem to do fairly well with them, but the holders tend to slide and spill the pencils if not closed up well. I may pay the extra to get something that was designed for pencils. As a travel toothbrush holder, I would use these.
